Welcome to the Vancouver Skating Club

The Vancouver Skating Club (VSC) is a non-profit organization that has served the skating needs of the Lower Mainland for over seventy five years. In furthering the sport of figure skating, it is the mission of the Vancouver Skating Club to provide the necessary training programs and facilities to enable skaters to achieve their personal goals, encourage participation, and give guidance in the sport of figure skating. The VSC endeavours to educate and inform the membership regarding figure skating, with an emphasis upon its pleasures, healthy aspects, and its value as an activity, which contributes to the development of fitness, self-discipline and character.

VSC is the best kept secret in the city with over 800 members and growing from CanSkate to the Senior level. Skaters train on the North Shore at Karen Magnussen Arena and Canlan Ice Sports, and in Vancouver at the PNE Agrodome and the Pacific Coliseum, site of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games figure skating events. See facilities for arena maps.

VSC Crest

Alumni VSC skater and coach Marilyn Wood has contributed to the Club archives. This crest, not an official club logo, was created by her aunt and was worn by several skaters in the 1950's. Marilyn was also Tina Leininger's coach!

Alumni and club members with stories, photos or programs that they would like to add to the club archives please contact the Vancouver Skating Club. Many thanks!
